Word power: Barbara Kingsolver on “this misogynistic horror”

Months ago, Trump bragged that he could commit murder and still retain his following. He was right.

Barbara Kingsolver‘s essay begins with a telling memory from her childhood, half a century ago.

Then, she argued with father over whether a woman could be president of the USA.

Now, they are on the same side.

He is eager to vote for a woman president. But it’s knocked the breath out of me to learn that most of his peers are not.
