Midwinter on the Fleurieu’s southern edge: intricate, seemingly-delicate

 

The pictured fruiting body is a little bigger than was yesterday’s hero, but it looks rather more “delicate”, less “robust”.

Look closely, however…

…and the obviously-displaced leaves and grass tell you that today’s hero is also a “pushy bastard”.

Or, to put it more politely, this fruiting body resembles the elephant-headed Hindu deity Ganesh, in at least one key respect.

Each is a “remover of obstacles”.
