It is now drinking beautifully. Good news: ’09 vintage is the current release, available from the winery at a very fair price for a carefully cellared, truly premium Margaret River red.
Comments closedStella Bella 2014 Chardonnay and Castle Rock 2014 Diletti Chardonnay are available for circa $30 a bottle in Australia. Respectively, from Margaret River and Porongurup, each is distinctly different. Both are clearly superior to a lot of more expensive Australian Chardonnays.
One CommentAn under-appreciated fact: many of Australia’s most cellar-worthy wines are whites. Even the happy few who are not blind to the astonishingly-affordable delights offered by our aged Rieslings and Semillons are all too often blind to prime sources in regions other than, respectively, Clare and the Hunter Valley.
